Boudoir is a french word for 'bedroom,' however when pertaining to photography and especially OUTDOOR boudoir, it basically refers to a more sensual, intimate session. These photos are typically done in a bedroom or hotel, however with Wild Blue we use the beautiful land we have all around us to capture the beautiful you in!
Why would someone want this type of photography?
Boudoir isn't just about getting some "scantily clad" photos of yourself. Boudoir is all about empowerment, confidence and capturing a time in your life that will never happen again. There are so many reasons to get these kind of photos taken; from giving your husband/fiance a special gift he would never expect, to just giving yourself a luxurious day of pampering and fun... There is basically no reason NOT to have a boudoir session at least once in your life!
How long does the session last?
The average session lasts right around an hour, give or take, depending on the number of outfits you have to change into. I don't limit the time for a session, rather, go with the flow with however quick or long we need to produce a full gallery of 30-35 perfect images.
What should I wear?
This is a very common question I get asked and the answer is very simple... Whatever you feel sexy in!! I highly suggest well fitting lingerie, stockings, high heels, jewelry, mens button ups, knit sweaters and anything else you may have that makes you feel awesome!
Can I bring a friend?
Of course! I have no problem with you bringing a female friend as your cheering squad, just make sure that you're 110% comfortable with them as you will be in less than you probably normally wear ;) It's hard to find that inner goddess with your man sitting just outside the cameras view, so I respectfully ask that you leave them at home...They'll get to see the fabulous end result anyways and there truly is no better surprise!!
Where do you take these photos since they're done outdoors?
All over! I have been everywhere from lakeside to downtown, so depending on your comfort level, we will choose a location that suits our needs. I do have several private property locations that will guarantee no one will be trespassing on your session, however do a lot of work in the public as these are very tasteful images that wouldn't require absolute privacy if you wanted to get adventurous in some awesome looking alleyways ;)
Are my photos going to be all over the internet?
Only if you so choose!! I know how personal these photos can be, so I only post photos to my facebook or blogsite with a signed model release and even then, wouldn't post anything you were uncomfortable with.
What is your turnaround time like?
I like to have all photos back to my clients withing ten days of their session, but with a signed model release, you will get a great sneak peek on my Facebook beforehand to get some instant gratification by seeing your beautiful self!!
